Why I don't make New Year's resolutions

My hope is that you’ll embrace 2026 with renewed vigor.
January 1st is the start of a new year, but again, I
I resolve not to make a resolution.
Why?
Resolutions are guilty little promises we make to ourselves to feel better—until we break them soon… after only to feel worse for letting ourselves down. This seems counterintuitive to the idea of why we feel the need to make them in the first place.
I believe it’s better to make consistent daily choices that align with who you are, thereby having no need for a big reveal, confession, and guilt trip resolution on January 1st.
My days will continue to include moments of clarity, right action, and optimism, even when dark clouds of energy drift overhead. I choose to weave more grace toward myself into each day as I practice of self-acceptance.
Will I fail at times this year?
Absolutely.
And when I do, I’ll be kinder to myself.
Shine your light and SPARKLE!
Now I’d love to hear—what’s your vision?
