I Rooted for Wile E. Coyote

Why? Everyone loves an underdog. It's why we love Rocky movies.

We laugh because we've all been Coyote at some time or other.

Wile E. Coyote never gave up, he was inventive, creative, and determined.

Coyote had one glaring fault, but he was blind to it. He was set on winning the Roadrunner at all costs to himself. If he looked around, he would have noticed other opportunities surrounded him.

Coyote had a big ego. He wanted his way and was hyper focused on getting it. He didn't change his perception, and he forced his will to no avail. Therefore, he missed the opportunity to catch a rabbit, snake, mouse, rat, and squirrel. He's a cautionary tale with a tail.

Have you ever faced a problem and tried your best, only to be outwitted by it?

Maybe you've tried to drop a rock on it, net the solution, or were so determined to have the answer show up in your way, on your terms, that you missed other solutions.

You see, we all are guilty of getting caught in this endless loop chasing a Roadrunner.

When I see myself going Coyote, I take a step back, breathe, and spend a few quiet moments just being, allowing, and opening. This is powerful Universal bait.

I ask and pray for the answer to come to me. And it always does.

And many times it is completely different from anything I could have thought up or willed on my own. An inspired idea might appear as a coincidence, a person, or a flash of insight.

Honor it. Try it out. Beep Beep.
