All Souls Day, Family & Forgiveness

My parents

All Soul's day is November 2. Each year is a time to remember and honor our ancestors. Some cultures visit grave and pray for the deceased. This month, we are coming up on Thanksgiving. This holiday is a reminder to be thankful for lessons gleaned, and ancestors who were special to us. These are a few of mine. My father's booming laugh, my mother's meals, friends I've lost. Aunts and uncles who, I regretfully, was too busy to visit, but hold them in my memory with gratitude. What can you do if you are estranged from a relative? Holidays can be tough, and forgiveness might feel too hard for you to manage. Try this: Close your eyes, Imagine the bright light of the creator wrapping them in compassion. And let your animosities go. It's good for your health and peace of mind.

What if you lost someone dear to you? Close your eyes and think of them in a pink love bubble. Imagine you are giving them a huge hug. Their spirit will know. And you will be more peaceful. Last, be gentle with yourself. Give yourself a hug and compassion for

your choices, thoughts, and actions. Nurture the inner child who needs your care.

And let your divine light shine.
